RDX FOOTBALL ACADEMY / PARENT INFORMATION

SAFETY FIRST.
DEVELOPMENT ALWAYS.

Every child deserves a positive, supportive and well-supervised environment. Here is how RDX intends to approach player welfare, communication and family responsibilities.

Pre-launch parent information: These are proposed operating policies for review before the academy opens. Final staffing, venue, emergency arrangements and written enrolment terms must be confirmed before children attend. The Working With Children Check number below is supplied by the academy operator and has not been independently verified here.

SUPERVISION & COLLECTION

Players will be supervised during organised training by authorised RDX coaches. Parents or guardians are responsible for their child before check-in and after collection. Children must be signed in or otherwise checked in with a coach, and collected promptly by a parent, guardian or nominated authorised adult. Children must not leave a session unaccompanied without a parent-approved arrangement agreed in advance. Coaches will maintain clear sightlines and appropriate supervision; staffing, age-group ratios and emergency handover arrangements will be finalised before sessions begin.

WET WEATHER & EXTREME CONDITIONS

Player safety comes first. Sessions may be postponed or cancelled for lightning, unsafe rain or surfaces, extreme heat, poor air quality or other hazards. RDX will assess conditions and communicate changes through the contact details provided by families. Training will stop and players will move to a safe area if conditions become dangerous during a session. Make-up session or credit arrangements will be communicated before enrolments open; do not assume a session is proceeding during severe weather until confirmed.

CANCELLATIONS, ABSENCES & REFUNDS

Families should notify RDX as early as possible if their child cannot attend. A missed session does not automatically entitle a family to a refund or replacement session. If RDX cancels a session, the academy will communicate the proposed replacement or credit arrangements. Term withdrawal, illness-related absences, kit orders and refund conditions will be confirmed in written enrolment terms before payments are accepted. Nothing in the enrolment terms will exclude rights under Australian Consumer Law.

MEDICAL INFORMATION & EMERGENCIES

Before a child starts training, a parent or guardian will be asked to provide relevant allergies, asthma or other medical needs, medication or emergency action plans, emergency contact details and any participation restrictions. Families must notify RDX if this information changes. Coaches will be informed only of information necessary to support safe participation. Parents remain responsible for supplying required medication and written instructions; whether staff can assist with medication will be confirmed before enrolment. In an emergency, staff will contact emergency services when appropriate, provide first aid within their training and notify the parent or guardian as soon as practicable. Sensitive information will be handled confidentially and stored with restricted access.

CHILD SAFETY & CONDUCT

RDX is committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for every child. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, humiliation, physical punishment and inappropriate contact are not acceptable. Coaching should use age-appropriate instructions and positive feedback. Adults must maintain professional boundaries, avoid unnecessary one-to-one isolated situations and use appropriate communication channels with parents rather than private messaging children. Any concern about a child's safety should be raised promptly with RDX; urgent danger should be reported to police or emergency services. RDX will respond to concerns, document incidents appropriately and follow applicable NSW reporting requirements.

PHOTOGRAPHY & PRIVACY

Parent or guardian permission will be sought before RDX uses identifiable images or videos of a child for public marketing or social media. Choosing not to consent will not prevent a child from participating. Enrolment and medical information will be used for administering training and keeping children safe, and will not be publicly displayed. A separate privacy notice and consent process will be provided before collecting sensitive medical information.
